It’s the Vikings turn to get a stadium

Just writing to express my concern that the state address the Minnesota Vikings stadium issue in the next legislative year. The project would provide 13,700 construction jobs in a bad economy and provide an expanded tax base for the state. The Vikings organization pays $18.7 million in state taxes per year. As a Vikings fan, I also find the Metrodome to be a poor football stadium and an even worse concert venue. The current proposal by Vikings ownership and the Metropolitan sports commission involves not only the development of an efficient stadium but also the development of local neighborhoods around the new stadium. Please consider their proposals or we may lose a great asset to the state, the Minnesota Vikings.
