Moose Lodge to hold 9/11 tribute

The Moose Lodge of Albert Lea will hold an event called Tribute Remember 9/11 on Friday at Skyline Plaza in the parking lot.
During the event, there will be a memorial service at 5 p.m. with Matt Huntley. The American Legion, VFW and Minnesota National Guard will present the Color Guard.
Barbecue pork sandwiches, salad and beans will be served from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost will be $7. Beverages will be available.
A street dance featuring Flashback will go 8 p.m. to midnight. Tickets to the dance are $3.
At 9:11 p.m., a video tribute to service men and women and first responders will be shown on the side of the building.
Over 16 fire departments in the area will be present. A free meal to those in uniforms or on duty officers will be provided. Cold Stone Creamery ice cream and mini-doughnuts will also be available with proceeds to Youth for Christ.
There will be a raffle and the Moose Lodge will be selling “Tribute 2009 9/11 2001” T-shirts.
Three $500 checks will be presented to: Senior Resources for Veterans Hospital, Law Enforcement Memorial Association and Fallen Firefighters Memorial Association.
