A memorial visitation and lunch for Richard (Dick) Dale Trytten, 58, of Bovey, formerly of Glenville, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Saturday, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home.

Richard died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Richard (Dick) Dale Trytten was born on Jan. 29, 1951, in Albert Lea to Ferlando and Gwen (Faragher) Trytten. He grew up in the Glenville and Myrtle area. Dick graduated from Glenville High School in 1969. On Dec. 4, 1976, Dick was united in marriage to Georgann Olson in Glenville. After high school he worked road construction and then was employed at Ventura Foods as a working line leader for 25 years. Dick then went to Riverland Community College for his CDL license. He moved to Grand Rapids and was employed as a truck driver for Willie Transport of Cohasset, until his illness in 2008. Dick enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. He also liked spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing and trapping.
Survivors include his wife, Georgann; daughter, Theresa Espelien, of Wells; grandsons: Deryk and Wyatt Espelien of Hector; mother, Gwen Trytten, of Albert Lea; sisters: Deb Trytten and Leota (Doug) Lind, all of Albert Lea; brother, Ken (Peggy) Trytten, of Austin; in-laws: Gloria Olson, Julie Manuel, Mike Olson, all of Albert Lea; Mark (Paula) Olson of Glenville, and Tami (Danny) Davidson of Everette, Wash.; and many nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Ferlando; brother, Paul Trytten; and mother and father-in-law, George and Floy Olson.
