Weekend incidents reported at Geneva’s Harmony Park

GENEVA —Freeborn County Sheriff’s deputies were kept busy with several weekend incidents at Harmony Park on 298th Street south of Geneva.

According to reports, on Friday evening, John Clayton Renfro, 26, no address listed, was charged with a felony drug violation. John Robert Dooley, 47, no address listed, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana. At 7:38 p.m., one person was transported to the Albert Lea Medical Center for a reported overdose. Timothy Rogers, 22, no address listed, was charged with felony possession of drugs. Harley T. Kriech, 20, no address listed, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, open bottle and minor consumption. And at 10:21 p.m., there was another report of a man being overdosed.

On Saturday afternoon Mathew John Leeder, 33, no address listed, was arrested for third-degree possession of ecstasy. Later in the afternoon Justin John Kutchenriter, 30, no address listed, was arrested on a felony drug charge, the reports stated.

Driver injured in wreck

WASECA — William K. Reichel, 58, Albert Lea, was injured when his GMC Safari was involved in a wreck in Waseca at 12:46 p.m. Monday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

This wreck reportedly took place on the State Highway 13 detour in Waseca and also involved a Ford pickup. The two occupants of the second vehicle were listed as having no apparent injuries.

The state patrol report said Reichel’s injuries were non life threatening.

Scooter driver backed into

A car reportedly backed into a man driving a motorized scooter at 410 Frank Hall Drive at 12:42 p.m. Monday, according to reports. Reports indicated the motorized scooter driver, Ervin Frank Beck, suffered knee pain. The driver of the car, Mark Anthony Calderon, received no injuries.

Fatalities reported

RACINE — The Minnesota State Patrol reported there were two fatalities in a wreck involving a Honda Goldwing motorcycle and a Ford Windstar on State Highway 63 in Racine, south of Stwartville, which took place at 10:48 a.m. Sunday.

The State Patrol report said four people were involved in this crash when the motorcycle reportedly ran into the rear end of the vehicle. The occupants of the motorcycle, David D. Hoffman, 63, and Victoria K. Hoffman, 54, both of Rochester, died in the wreck. The occupants of the Windstar, Nathan B. Ramaker, 30, and Kristina A. Ramaker, 31, both of Stewartville, were listed with minor injuries.

Assisting the State Patrol at the scene were the Mower and Olmsted County Sheriff’s Offices.

Bikes reported stolen

A bike was reported stolen from a patio on the 600 block of James Avenue at 8:04 a.m. Monday, according to reports.

A boys BMX bike was also reported stolen from the 1700 block of Southeast Broadway Avenue. The bike was described as having a black frame and silver metal medals, with duct tape on the seat. It was reportedly taken sometime between 7:10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday. The value was estimated at $400.
