A teenager’s trip to the hospital has led Wright County authorities to investigate an alleged teenage underground fight club.

Lt. Todd Hoffman of the Wright County Sheriff’s Office said authorities are trying to put a stop to the alleged activity before someone is severely injured.

Hoffman said a video clip of a fight was posted on YouTube briefly before it was taken down.

He said a dozen or so teenagers were involved in the club, but investigators are trying to determine if any adults helped.

Investigators got a tip about the fight club last Friday. A few hours later, they got a call from the hospital in Monticello, where a 16-year-old was being treated for facial injuries and bruises.
