Editorial: Changes at the online Tribune

Today we would like to point out some changes to our Web site, AAlbertLeaTribune.com.

Take note of the blue bar that goes across the page. That is the navigation bar, and the hyperlinks on it are slightly different.

You should notice that under “News” is a drop-down menu that gives you more options. Clicking on “News” takes you to the news page. “Videos” takes you to the page of our videos. “Photos” goes to a page many users have found on their own, a page that shows our latest pictures. “Spotted” is a user-interface where you can post your own photos and where you can purchase Tribune photographs. “Southern Minnesota” takes you to our magazine of the same name. “Special Sections” goes to a page where you can look at PDFs of special sections we produce.

In the middle of the blue navbar, right after “Lifestyles,” you should spot “Food & Drink.” This fall we are making a new emphasis on content on dining. This link takes you to our online Food & Drink section. That page offers a featured food, a growing list of recipes, videos of the Web series “Uffda Kitchen,” links to Relish Magazine and local restaurants.

There is even a place for you to submit your recipes. We encourage you to, because we could choose to feature it down the road.
