Glad tidings of joy need your support

As we near the holidays, we are again reminded of the many blessings we have. So many families, however, look to us to help supplement their budget as winter approaches and the economy remains uncertain.

Your support of the Salvation Army helps people in crisis situations and makes you a vital link in providing assistance to your neighbors in Freeborn County. Unfortunately, many previous donators are finding themselves on the receiving end this year. Your help, prayerfully considered, is vital as we provide increasing help with decreasing supply.

On Nov. 2, the Salvation Army will begin its annual food drive to replenish our shelves with basic items. We will gladly accept canned or packaged nonperishable items. Please understand that we cannot use items that are bulging, rusty, outdated or without labels.
