James Merle Hanson, who was born in Bricelyn on Dec. 13, 1940, to John T. Hanson and Mayme (Seely) Hanson, died Oct. 19, 2009, at Arlington Hospital in Washington.
He went to school in Bricelyn. He married Mary Bushinger on Sept. 4, 1965. He worked for the city of Snohomish, Wash., for many years.
He enjoyed old trucks, collecting baseball cards, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; children: Wayne Hanson, Wendy Melton (Luis), Johny Hanson and fiancee Teresa Jackson, all of Snohomish; grandchildren: Christina, David, Tiffany, and Natasha Melton, Santanna, Jimmy and Kailey Hanson; and greatgrandchild, Hope Marie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Donald and Dennis Hanson of Clarks Grove; and sister Joyce Larson of Rake, Iowa.
