Man, woman arrested for meth possession

A 32-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested on Monday for methamphetamine possession after authorities executed a search warrant at a Geneva residence.
According to a Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office news release, the South Central Drug Investigation Unit, the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and the Steele County Sheriff’s Office conducted the warrant.
During the search, officers found more than 20 grams of meth, more than $900 in cash and a firearm, the release stated.
The names of the man and woman have not yet been released.
Both are expected to be charged with second-degree possession of meth. They could also face child endangerment charges.
The man is expected to be in court today.
