Alexandria outshot the Albert Lea Thunder 36 to 17 Friday night in a 6-3 victory in Alexandria.

Danny Wood scored three goals for the Thunder (2-9-0) and Alex Altenbernd had three of his own for the Blizzard (4-3-2) in a NAHL Central Division showdown.

Albert Lea was whistled for 11 penalties and Alexandria converted for two power-play goals.

Joe Rogers made 30 saves for the Thunder.

Albert Lea dropped its fifth straight game and plays next Thursday in Topeka.
