On behalf of the Albert Lea Art Center Inc. I am writing as a follow up to the letter from the Writer’s Group. We were pleased that the Writer’s Group was able to use our meeting space for many years, and we were saddened that the current building owner has refused to allow them to continue meeting at the Art Center building. We would gladly allow the Writer’s Group back at any time. Unfortunately, the building owner has put restrictions on who can utilize the space we rent from her.

For many years the Art Center was used by different nonprofit groups for meeting purposes, and we would like to extend that invitation for many years into the future.

Hopefully the building owner will once again start allowing us to use our portions of the building in that fashion and we will once again be a center for the arts.
