The members of the community candlelight vigil committee thank all the local businesses and community members who so willingly helped to make the 2009 candlelight vigil in honor of domestic violence victims a success this year.

Thank you to Sandy and Lisa, CVCC volunteers, Deputy Darin Hable, Officer Dave Miller, DEEDS volunteers from Riverland Community College, Linda Lares, Kim who spoke, Kathe and James Grodhaus and the Rev. Todd Walsh.

Thank you to the following area businesses: Nancy VanderWaerdt State Farm Insurance, Airgas, Western Rental, Ad Art, Hy-Vee and Wal-Mart.

We would also like to thank KAAL TV, KIMT TV, Power 96, the Albert Lea Tribune and the Freeborn County Shopper for the coverage of the event, which helps to honor the many victims of domestic violence.

Like the struggle to end domestic violence, this event would not have been successful without the efforts of so many in our community. Thank you again!
