London and Myrtle fire departments on Monday morning responded to a kitchen fire at a home between Oakland and London.

Rick Pedersen, owner of 90202 185th St., where the fire was reported, said the fire was “thankfully nothing major.”

He described it as a grease fire on the stove. The fire was out before firefighters arrived.

Pedersen said the family lost their microwave during the blaze.
