Mary Ann Schwab, 77, of New Ulm, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with the Rev. John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in the St. George Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Christian Mother’s Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral. Mary Ann is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Lora and Bruce Rozeske, Lisa and Terry Kuck all of Owatonna; sons Steven Schwab of Albert Lea, David Schwab of Germany, Thomas Schwab of Gibbon; grandchildren Emily and Christina Rozeske, Gracie, Eric, Katie, Stephanie and Christopher Schwab; sisters and brothers-in-law Lillian Kamm, Lydia and Henry Leisenfeld, Liz Dittrich all of New Ulm, Dorothy and Jim Block of Florida; brother and sisters-in-law Marvin and Ruth Tauer of New Ulm and Sandy Tauer of St. James; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Francis and Esther Schwab of St. George; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leander “Ace” Schwab, on May 25, 1999; brother, Kenneth Tauer; sisters-in-law Rose Schwab and Delores Schwab; and brothers-in-law Leo Dittrich, Jerome Schwab, Ray Schwab and Marvin Kamm.
