Lake Mills boys’ basketball head coach Kyle Menke hasn’t had too much to worry about so far with his team this season and his team had him at ease once again in a 71-55 victory over North Iowa Friday in Buffalo Center.

The balanced attack the Bulldogs (4-0, 1-0 NIC) have had this season continued as five players scored in double figures.

Tyler Rice led all scorers with 18 while Jordan Colby and Alex Grunhovd added 12 apiece and Chris Throne and Marcus Gaskill added 10 each. Tim Brandt came off the bench for Lake Mills and hit three 3-pointers to finish with nine points.

The Bison tried to quell Throne with a box-in-one defense but Throne was able to defer to his teammates to get the victory.

The Bulldogs faced sixth-ranked West Fork Saturday in Rockwell.
