It was just days ago that we learned the White House was threatening to put Nebraska’s Offutt Air Force Base on the BRAC list if Sen. Ben Nelson didn’t fall into line with the health care bill. Yes, the White House actually threatening to close a base that is vital to national security.

But don’t worry. The base won’t close.

Why have things changed so quickly? Nebraska is to get Medicaid aid forever from the federal government. You heard right. The government will pay Nebraska’s increasing Medicaid costs forever. This is only for Nebraska. How can states that may already be in fiscal trouble be responsible to pay for another states’ Medicaid obligation?

Conservatives were telling us that the new health care bill would leave states struggling with Medicaid bills long-term. Democrats were telling us that isn’t true. But apparently Sen. Nelson, a Democrat, believes otherwise and was able to be “brought in line” by Chicago-style tactics of Rahm Emanuel and Obama. (Nelson isn’t the only one who has been bought off).

Our present administration: pro-Marxists, pro-Maoists, socialists, communist, anti-capitalists, threats, intimidation, bribes. You asked for it. You got it. Change.
