Have you had a few problems with the Albert Lea Tribune’s Text Alerts, such as getting texts at a time that seems late or perhaps not getting some of them at all?

So have we.

We think the problem might be the cellular providers. Some folks will get the texts and get them on time, while others do not. The difference is the provider, we found.

If your provider changed companies recently, it might be good for you to go back into the Text Alerts signup and tell it the new company. A recent change has been from Alltel to Verizon.

Hopefully, doing this resolves the issue. We will continue to look into it.
