Humane Society of Freeborn County has many pets needing homes

The following animals are available for adoption through the Humane Society of Freeborn County.

Dogs

 Rat terrier, male, neutered. He is very old and possibly blind. His has a missing rear leg. He is very scared. Found 2 miles north of Conger.

Fraidy, male, neutered. He is about 1 year old. Llasa Apsa/terrier mix.  Very cute little guy. A little shy at first, but once he gets to know you, you’ve got a friend. Owner turn in.

English Pointer, male, neutered. All chocolate brown. Young and he looks like he has had some eye surgery. Very nice boy. He was found by the golf course near Alden.

 Cocker spaniel/poodle mix, female, recently spayed. Black and white curly hair. Very nice girl.

 Husky, female, not spayed. Very pretty blue eyes. Hyper, but a beautiful dog.  Found near the Bel-Aire.

 Long-haired black dog, female. Looks like a golden retriever only black.  Found between Alden and Wells. Very nice girl and a little scared.

 Bacon, rat rerrier mix, male, neutered and up to date on shots. He is a very nice dog. Loves to be with people. He is about 4 years old. Owner surrender.

Bones, red bone coonhound, male. Neutered and up to date on shots. He is a transplant from the South. Very friendly. Likes to track. Doesn’t like cats.

 Roslynn, lab/pit, female, spayed. Found in Walmart parking lot. Dark brown, very friendly, likes to go on walks and play. Her best friend is Bones the coonhound. She is a lab in a short-legged body.

 Hope, pit bull, female, young, spayed, brown with white chest. Found in someone’s yard on South Broadway Avenue. Likes to play and likes to be petted. Should be an only dog.

 Sophie, female black lab mix. Found near The Rock uptown. Has a choke chain collar on. She is a very nice dog. Her fur is a little longer than a lab’s.

 Riley, a male black lab, neutered, owner surrender. Friendly, happy guy. Likes to take himself for walks.

 Tucker, a male miniature pinscher, neutered. Older but very nice. He was found on South Broadway Avenue. Likes to snuggle under the blankets.

Cats

 Cuddles, neutered male, up to date on shots. White with black spots.  Owner surrender. Quiet, but likes to be petted. Friendly.

 Kittens, many colors. All owner surrenders.

 Kirby, male, neutered, declawed, up to date on shots. White with gray tiger stripes. Owner surrender. Very nice guy.

 Oreo, male, neutered, up to date on shots.  Black and white spots.  Found in Conger. Very loving and likes to be talked to and petted. Loves everybody.

 Speedy, female white with black spots with three young kittens.

 Pooh Bear, owner surrender, neutered and declawed. Very nice and friendly.

 Molly, eemale, spayed and declawed. Owner surrender. Tortoiseshell.  She is a big girl and is friendly.

 Oprah, black female. Found in Geneva. Friendly and pretty.

 Richard, black male, un-neutered. Found on Grand. Wearing flea collar.  Very, very friendly and nice guy.

 Fat Louie, male, declawed, dark gray. Very pretty. Shy. Owner surrender.

 Rouge, female calico/tabby mix. Very unusual coloring. Found by train depot with her four little orange kittens. She is very nice.

 Moo-Moo, white cat with black spots. Male, neutered wearing a collar.  Found in Frank Hall Park. Very friendly.

 Mom and four small kittens. Mother is a brown tabby. Babies are three brown tabbies and two tuxedo.

 Gray mother with four gray and gray-and-white kittens. Owner surrender.

 Orange and white male, neutered and declawed. He is a big boy and loves to be petted. He is a little scared right now but warms up to you fast.

There are many, many more cats looking for homes. People can see them at the Albert Lea Animal Shelter between 1 and 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and noon and 5 p.m. Fridays.
