Alden-Conger girls’ basketball head coach Gary Newman is quick to give credit when it’s due and it was Friday night when his Knights fell 61-46 to Truman in Alden.

Alden-Conger (1-1) lost a four-point halftime lead in the second half as the Bluejays (3-0) made adjustments in the second half and the Knights failed to react.

“Give them credit they’re a good basketball team,” Newman said. “They were very tenacious in their man-to-man and we didn’t react to it.”
