Wolverines defense leads to victory

A strong defensive effort in the first half Tuesday helped Glenville-Emmons get past Mabel-Canton in Glenville.

The Wolverines held the Cougars to 13 points in the first half and got a 48-39 victory.

Derek Sanderson led Glenville-Emmons (4-1, 2-1 SEC) with 12 points while Peter Hansen added 11.

Dustin Solberg was the only Mabel-Canton player in double figures. Solberg scored a game-high 16 points in the loss.
