Editorial: Coleman choice makes sense

Ex.-U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman would’ve been a strong Republican candidate for Minnesota governor. However, he is making the right decision in not seeking the office.

Indeed, it is too soon following the long, drawn-out Senate battle. It would be too soon for anyone to get back into a high drama of politics. The Senate race was nasty, and governor races get down and dirty, too.

Coleman instead wants to put his skills to use on his own project. He will spend his time launching a think tank and institute policy.
