On Aug. 27, 1966, she married Robert Zimny at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Mankato. The couple had one daughter, Deb, and Barbara was very proud of her. Barbara was very active in her church. She volunteered at St. Casimir Catholic School and went on a few mission trips to Honduras. She was an office assistant and bank teller for many years. She worked at Security Bank for 10 years and Wells Federal Bank for more than 30 years. She was a very giving person and she loved people — preferring to stay out of the limelight and let others shine. She enjoyed Seek-A-Word, riding her snowmobile and baking-she was famous for her banana bread. She also collected dolls and acquired an extensive collection.
