In 10 years of existence, the Gourmet Auction has passed the $60,000 level in raising funds, according to the Big Island Rendezvous & Festival organizer Perry Vining.

Over nine years, the event had raised $54,000. On Friday, Vining said organizers hoped to cross $60,000. With the addition of $13,000 in proceeds from Friday at Wedgewood Cove Golf Club, the event now has raised $67,000.

The proceeds benefit the Rendezvous and the Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce. The two organizations share an office on Marshall Street.
