Memorial services for Lloyd Allen Dugstad, 94, of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Andrea Myers and the Rev. Michael Gerhardt will officiate. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
Lloyd died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.
Lloyd Allen Dugstad was born on Aug. 5, 1915, in Spring Valley, to Lewis and Lillian Dugstad. He grew up in Spring Valley and graduated from Spring Valley High School. On July 23, 1937, he was united in marriage to Jeanne Beckman. Lloyd worked in Detroit in sales during World War II and came to Albert Lea in 1946. He was employed as an insurance agent for Hardware Mutual and later with Security Insurance until his retirement in the early 1980s. Lloyd was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed bowling, softball, fishing, especially trout fishing, pheasant and deer hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne; children: Kent (Diane) Dugstad of Phoenix, Ariz., and Judy Laursen of Cheyenne, Wyo.; grandchildren: Jeff, John and Julie, Sherri and Scott; nine great-grandchildren; sisters: Goldie Shaw and Carol Jean Cadwell; and many nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary; great-grandson, Michael Dugstad in infancy; brother, Earl; and sisters: Shirley and Doris.
