The Albert Lea boys’ basketball team fell 72-36 Saturday against Owatonna in Owatonna.

The Tigers fell behind by 17 at halftime, though Tigers head coach Lucas Kreuscher said Albert Lea played better than the score indicate.

But in the second half the Tigers failed to stop the Huskies along the baseline and Owatonna ran away with the game.

Alik Smed led Albert Lea with 13 points and Kyle Ooms added six points.
