The Walk for Haiti event slated at Northbridge Mall Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. received minimal participation — from only two or three groups — organizers stated.

By noon Saturday, there had been no participants, and organizers anticipated closing the event early.

The event was set up similar to other walkathons and bikeathons, in this case to give people the opportunity to pledge money to the earthquake relief efforts.
