Would you like to find a place where people truly care about you, where you can build long-term friendships, and you can finally ask those questions about Christianity that have always troubled you but nobody wanted to answer?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you are invited to a casual evening of good food, good friends and good discussion through the Alpha Program at First Presbyterian Church, 308 Water St.

The Alpha Program was started 30 years ago in England and has grown today to 33,500 courses in 163 countries and is stirring hearts and minds to seek for the answers we all desire about eternity and the meaning and purpose of life.

Questions about God have fascinated human beings since time began. As people discover more and more that the pleasures of this world don’t fully satisfy their deepest needs, people are experiencing a very real sense of spiritual hunger.

The Alpha Program is an eight-week course but the public is invited to try it for one night on Monday, March 8, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. as the group discusses, “Christianity: Boring, Untrue and Irrelevant?” Does Christianity really have something to offer that cannot be found anywhere else?

Call First Presbyterian Church at 373- 2035 for more information or to register. Dinner and childcare are provided. Please let the church know in advance of childcare needs. For additional information, go to www.alphacourse.org.
