We were going to have an editorial today about how the Big 12 Conference always seems less noticed and underrated at the start of the NCAA men’s basketball season, then comes out strong at the end of the season.

We were going to have an editorial today pointing out the bias of the national TV sports media toward teams on the East Coast and on the West Coast.

Then the Northern Iowa Panthers defeated the Kansas Jayhawks.

Instead, we will just humbly say: Way to go, Northern Iowa. Congratulations.

How about that Missouri Valley Conference? Talk about underrated.
