A report filed with the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office at 12:21 p.m. Tuesday states two $100 bills donated to the Hayward Fire Department Relief Association have been determined to be counterfeit.

Dog bites child

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a pit bull biting an 11-year-old child on Euclid Street in Alden just after 5 p.m. Tuesday. The report states the child was transported to Albert Lea for treatment.
