Permit issued for nursing home remodeling project

During February the City of Albert Lea Inspection Department issued six building permits with a valuation of $631,056. And two-thirds of this amount, or $420,000, was for an “interior renovation of Station 2” at the Good Samaritan Center, 75405 240th St.

A second building permit with a valuation of $131,000 was issued to Naeve Health Care Association, 404 Fountain St., for a “linear accelerator room upgrade.”

The city’s total valuation for building permits issued during the first two months of the year is $899,886.

At the end of February 2009 the city’ report shows a total valuation of $2,557,955 for building permits.

The Freeborn County Planning and Zoning Office issued four building permits with a valuation of $101,700. This increases the total valuation for permits to $104,160 for the first two months of year.
