A free program, “Plastic Surgery: Cosmetic or Reconstructive?” is scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at HealthReach, 1705 S.E. Broadway, Albert Lea.

Sponsored by Albert Lea Medical Center — part of Mayo Health System — and District 241, the session will be presented by David Yao, ALMC’s new plastic surgeon.

Dr. Yao received his medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Va. He trained in surgery at Maricopa Integrated Health System in Phoenix, Ariz., plastic surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, and completed an aesthetic/cosmetic fellowship at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York, N.Y. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and he also sees patients at Owatonna Clinic, Owatonna.
