Ramona Valido, 75

Funeral services for Ramona Joy Valido of Albert Lea will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Ramona died Saturday morning, March 6, 2010, at her home in Albert Lea. She was 75 years of age.
Ramona was born May 24, 1934, in Bricelyn, the daughter of Otis and Emma (Larsen) Knudtson. She attended Albert Lea High School.
Ramona was united in marriage to Sebastian Valido in 1963.
She made her home in California and Florida and moved back to Albert Lea in 1976. Ramona worked for Burger King for 19 years and started there when they opened. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Ramona was an active member of the Eagles Club and played on the women’s pool league. She loved going to the casino, playing bingo, playing Yahtzee with friends and watching the Minnesota Vikings and Twins.
Ramona is survived by her children: Pam and her husband Kelly Hallman of Tampa, Fla., and Cindy Williams of Tampa, Fla; grandchildren include: Samantha and Brianna Hallman, Krista and Lauren Williams; surviving brothers include: Darwin (Donna) Knudtson, Bob (Marlene) Knudtson, and Larry Knudtson. There is one sister surviving, Gloria Yonan. Several nieces and nephews survive including a special niece, Robin Larsen, who helped care for her, and nephew, Rocky Larsen, who lived with her and helped her stay in her own home.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Gerald, Elwood and Raynold; sisters: Geri and Kay; and granddaughter, Ashley Hallman.
