On March 11 and 12, eight ALHS students attended the State BPA Leadership Conference.
During the conference, each student competed in one or two events.
To compete, they had to qualify at the Region 9 events held in January.
Six of the eight students advancing have participated in BPA for multiple years.
With more than 1,200 students competing throughout the state, ALHS had two finalists. Senior Rachel Williams was a finalist in advanced word processing and integrated applications. Freshman Chrissy Monson was a finalist in prepared speech. Rachel Friedman placed 10th in advanced spreadsheet applications.
