Trucking through the snow in boots and carrying a heavily wrapped vase of flowers is Ben’s Floral & Frame Designs’ delivery man John Leininger.

After working at Streater for 37 years, Leininger retired in 1997. Then, in 1998, Ben’s Floral & Frame Designs needed some extra help delivering flowers on Valentine’s Day, one of the busiest days of the year. He has been delivering a few days a week ever since.

Currently he goes out on Thursdays and Fridays, which Leininger is convinced are the two coldest and snowiest days of the week.
