The Freeborn 4-H club met April 18 at the Freeborn American Legion hall. Before the meeting started, everyone helped make a fleece blanket as a community pride project. President Peter Szymanski called the meeting to order.
The club talked about possibly selling flower plants as a fundraiser and having a bake sale at the Mother’s Day brunch that the Freeborn Boosters are having. Ideas for this year’s June Dairy Days display were also discussed. Last month for the annual food drive, members collected 348 pounds of food and $225.
Stephanie Johannsen served refreshments. For her project talk, she showed everyone a frame she decorated with masking tape. She had a poem she wrote in the frame.
The next meeting will be on May 16 at the Freeborn American Legion hall.
