On March 4, the Hawthorne Elementary fifth- and sixth-graders presented the musical “Pinocchio.”

The main characters were: Schafer Overgaard as Pinocchio, Parker Mullenbach as Gepetto, Samantha Anderson as Mamma, Denaey Castillo as Fox and Tianna Abrego as Cat.

The story takes place after Pinocchio returns home from his adventures with Jiminy Cricket. He again falls prey to the Fox and Cat, as they try to steal his money.

The musical has lively music, puppet dancers, fun costumes and great singing.

The production was directed by Hawthorne music teacher, Roxanne Irons.
