A utility pole was damaged when a vehicle ran into it around 2 a.m. Saturday. Casey Ciffra, 23, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident, according to the Albert Lea Police Department.
When officials responded to 1509 S. Broadway Ave. they found a severed utility pole, wires in the road and two other unoccupied vehicles that were severely damaged. Several residents on the southwest side of town lost power.
After a search of the area, Ciffra was found in a backyard on Larimore Circle.
