Houston downs Glenville-Emmons softball

A lack of hitting and defense cost the Glenville-Emmons softball team Monday in a 13-4 loss to Houston in Houston.

The Wolverines (1-6, 1-3 SEC) committed seven errors and tallied just three hits against the Hurricanes.

Glenville-Emmons also struck out 10 times, but held a 1-0 lead after the first inning.

Houston rallied in the next three innings to score all 13 of its runs. The Hurricanes scored four runs in the second, five in the third and fourth in the fourth.

Robyn Roe and Devin Cooper each had RBIs hits for the Wolverines.

Glenville-Emmons plays Hope Lutheran Thursday in Glenville.
