Funeral services for LaVonne Marlys Knutson, 63, of Glenville will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dwight Netzer will officiate. Interment will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from  6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.
LaVonne died April 11, 2010, at her home of a heart attack.
LaVonne Marlys Knutson was born on July 23, 1946, to Edward and Martha (Davidson) Christensen in Albert Lea. She grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High school in 1964. On April 20, 1968, she was united in marriage to Larry Knutson at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. LaVonne loved being a homemaker and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed collectables and antiques.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; children: Chet Knutson of Lake Mills, Iowa, and Mathew and his wife Jennifer Knutson of Plymouth; grandchildren: Tanner and Elianna Knutson; brothers: LuVerne Christensen of Albert Lea and David and wife Jeanine Christensen of Clarks Grove; sister, Linda and husband Wayne Nelson of Conger; brothers-in-law: Robert (Cobb) and wife Margaret Knutson of Albert Lea and Ronald (Kute) and wife Marian Knutson of Lakeville; sister-in-law, Bev and husband Alan (Buck) Kestner of Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Duane Christensen, in childhood.
