Martin County West scored 10 runs in the first inning Thursday against the Alden-Conger baseball team and rolled to a 13-3, five-inning victory in Sherburn.

The Knights (0-7, 0-4 Valley) rallied for three runs in the top of the fourth, but the Mavericks responded with three of their own.

Spencer Niebuhr went 1-for-3 with an RBI while Jordan Johnson went 1-for-3 and Cam Majerus 1-for-2 for Alden-Conger, which had just three hits in the game.
