I’ve lived in Albert Lea my whole life, and some of my greatest memories are when I was younger was participating in the activities held by the Albert Lea Parks and Recreation. I remember spending my whole day at the parks with a bunch of kids and having a good time. Even though I haven’t done these things for quite some time I’ve still noticed how downhill they’ve gone.

I have a younger brother, and I want him to be able to go to the parks and have fun with kids around the neighborhood. But now there are maybe four kids who show up there on a good day. They are still doing a good job with the pool, but when it comes to play parks, there seems to be no interest in them.

All I want is for kids now to be able to have the same fun experience there I had.
