Perfect game falls apart for Wolverines baseball

Glenville-Emmons junior Tyler Woodside had a perfect game going until the sixth inning Tuesday against Mabel-Canton, but that’s when things started to deteriorate for the Wolverines.

The Cougars scored the game-tying run in the bottom of the sixth and got the game-winning run in the seventh for a 2-1 victory and handed Glenville-Emmons (5-4, 1-2 SEC) its second consecutive last-inning defeat.

Mabel-Canton tied the game in the sixth after the Wolverines took the lead in the top half. The Cougars scored the tying run on a suicide squeeze.
