Ronald Hanson, 56

Funeral services for Ronald Clayton Hanson, 56, of Eagan, formerly of Albert Lea, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of St. Theodore in Albert Lea. The Rev. James Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in St. Theodore’s Cemetery. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service at the church.
Ronald died Sunday, April 11, 2010, at his home in Eagan.
Ronald Clayton Hanson was born on June 30, 1953, to Richard and Jean (Blake) Hanson in Albert Lea. He grew up in Albert Lea and especially enjoyed going on trip with his family as a child. Ronald graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1971 and graduated from Rochester Vo-tech. On June 28, 1974, he was united in marriage to Barbara Kirsch. Ronald went to work for E.F. Johnson in Waseca where he and Barbara bought their first home. In 1978, the couple moved back to Albert Lea for the next 10 years. In 1988, they moved to Eagan. Ronald was a former member of the Church of St. Theodore and a current member of St. John Neuman Catholic Church in Eagan. Ronald enjoyed spending time fishing at his place up north, spending time with family and friends, golf, bowling, coaching his kids softball and baseball and getting together for annual trips with childhood friends. 
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; son, Andrew Hanson; mother, Jean Hanson, of Albert Lea; sister, Cheri Wehrenberg, of Albert Lea; mother-in-law, Genevieve Kirsch, of Albert Lea; brothers-in-law: Edward (Lori) Kirsch and Jeffrey (Sara) Kirsch, both of Albert Lea; and many nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Richard Hanson; daughter, Adrienne Hanson; father-in-law, John Kirsch; and brother-in-law, Mike Wehrenberg.
Ronnie will be sadly missed by his family and his many friends.
