Junior Sam Gackstetter shot a 39 to earn medalist honors to help the United South Central boys’ golf team defeat Blue Earth 175-191 Friday at Oak View Golf Course in Freeborn.

Nate Pederson shot a 43 for USC, while Erik Willaby carded a 46.

Seth Olsen and Cobi Bullerman both shot 47s for the Rebels.

USC travels to Belle Plaine on Monday.
