United South Central senior Nick Fure threw a complete-game shutout in the Rebels’ 3-0 season-opening victory Thursday against Randolph in Randolph.

Fure allowed four hits, walked two and struck four while also going 2-for-3 with two RBIs to help lead USC past the Rockets.

Anthony Stenzel also finished 2-for-3.

USC plays Martin County West Friday in Sherburn.
