The Wild have added another native Minnesotan.

Free agent forward Jarod Palmer has signed a one-year entry-level contract with the team, the Wild announced Monday. Palmer is from Fridley. He led Miami University of Ohio in scoring last season with 45 points, including 18 goals in 44 games.

The 6-foot, 195-pound Palmer did not miss a game during his four-year career with the Redhawks. He totaled 47 goals and 90 assists in 169 contests. He helped Miami reach the last two NCAA Frozen Fours.
