Glenville-Emmons starter Tyler Woodside threw a one-hitter Monday and the Wolverines grabbed their fifth consecutive victory to start the season in a 6-1 win over Houston in Houston.

Woodside picked up his first victory of the season by striking out five and walking just one in seven innings of work. Woodside also went 2-for-3 with a double as Glenville-Emmons (5-0, 1-0 SEC) remained undefeated.

The Wolverines took a 3-0 lead after the second inning and the Hurricanes made it 3-1 after the third inning, but Glenville-Emmons put it out of reach with three runs in the sixth inning.

“It was one of those games you make a mistake and it could have been tied up real easy,” said Wolverines head coach Louie Toulouse.

The Wolverines face Blooming Prairie Tuesday in Glenville.
