The Albert Lea Knights 10AA baseball team competed in the Eden Prairie Invitational the weekend of May 7-9. On Saturday, the Knights opened up with a 7-4 victory over Eden Prairie and then beat Chanhassen 5-1. On Sunday, they faced Eden Prairie Red again in the semifinals and won 16-4. The Knights then faced Chanhassen again in the championship game and won 4-3. The win qualified the Knights for the Gopher State Tournament of Champions on July 9-11 and the MBT State Championship on July 16-18. The Knights will play May 22 in a doubleheader in Austin.
