The Albert Lea 12AA Knights baseball team traveled to Eden Prairie May 8-9 for the 16th annual Eden Prairie Invitational.

Albert Lea played Wayzata in its first game in pool play and lost 4-3. The Knights rebounded and beat Eden Prairie 11-1 and Bloomington 17-1.  After finishing second in pool play, Albert Lea started bracket play against Rochester. The Knights won 8-3 and found themselves in a rematch with Wayzata in the championship game. The Knights won the championship 2-1.

The victory gave the Knights a berth in the MYAS Gopher State Tournament and another berth for the MBT State Tournament.

The Knights traveled to Woodbury for a 16-team tourney this weekend.
