Albert Lea Y hires new staff

The Albert Lea Family Y has hired Stephanie Sherman as marketing coordinator. In her new position, Sherman will help organize and assist with events such as the annual Youth Fund Drive and Y-Not Golf Tournament. She will be handling the quarterly newsletter as well some other marketing responsibilities.
Sherman is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, with a bachelor of arts in journalism and a minor in business administration. She and her husband, Jade, have three daughters, Allison, Claire and Lucy. She has spent a majority of her life residing in Albert Lea.
In addition, Kelly Becker has been hired as youth director. Her responsibilities will be to facilitate and manage the Schools Out program, summer camps and pool schedules. She will be working to make the Schools Out program more structured with a curriculum-based agenda.
Becker is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a bachelor of arts in journalism and history. Recently, she has worked as a reporter for KIMT News 3 and KMSP News – Fox Affiliate. She enjoys working out, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, reading about world history and current events and listening to music.
